Stanley Tackett

Deerfield, Kansas Stanley Ray Tackett, age 58, died Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the St. Johns Hospital in Cassville, Missouri. He was born May 24, 1951 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Earl Stanley and Lora D. Bell Tackett. He attended school in Deerfield, Kansas before serving with the 101st Airborne in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. A resident of Exeter, Missouri since 1999 moving from Deerfield, Kansas he was a self employed truck driver. He was a member of the Deerfield United Methodist Church of Deerfield, Kansas and the VFW. Survivors Include: Four Sons, Jeremiah Patterson of Salida, Colorado, Jason Patterson of Denver, Colorado, Waylon Tackett of Las Animas, Colorado and Chris Appeling of Lubbock, Texas; One Daughter, Jayna Appeling of Lubbock, Texas; Two Brothers, David A. Tackett of Buda, Texas and Kerry T. Tackett of Deerfield, Kansas and Four Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Josh Tackett. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Deerfield United Methodist Church in Deerfield, Kansas with the Rev. Wayne Stephens presiding. Interment will be held in the Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield, Kansas. The family requests memorials be given to the Stanley Tackett Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
