Garden City, Kansas Myron Oliver Shrader, age 80, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at the Sunset Manor in Brush, Colorado. He was born November 9, 1925 @ Ft. Morgan, Colorado the son of William & Elsie Kohr Shrader. Following his time in the Navy, he received his Bachelors Degree in Animal Husbandry from Colorado State University. He had been a resident of Garden City since 1962 moving from Loveland, Colorado and had been a seed salesman and horse breeder. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Garden City and was a WWII US Navy Veteran. He belonged to the Elks Lodge, the VFW and the American Legion all of Garden City and he was an honored lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association. He and some friends established and operated the Garden City Blue Bells horse and rider drill team. In 1951, he married Ethel Olson. She died in 1981. Then in 1984, he married Evelyn Bittinger Wayne. She survives. Other survivors include: 2 Daughters; Tam Ray of Buena Vista, Colorado and Pam Shrader of Bremerton, Washington: 2 Step-Sons; Will Wayne of Norman, Oklahoma and David Wayne of Lenexa, Kansas: 2 Step-Daughters; Sandy Edwards of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Nancy Chance of Lawrence, Kansas: 14 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother â Arthur Shrader and a sister â Sylvia Condy. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00am on Monday, July 24, 2006 in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
