Walter Shearmire

Walter W. "Wennie" Shearmire, age 64, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on October 25, 1943 in Victoria, Texas, the son of Walter W. "Bud" and Velda Wheeler Shearmire. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, he worked for the City of Scott City and was in the construction business. Survivors: Two Sons - Cary Shearmire of Wichita, Kansas and Timmy Shearmire of Wichita, Kansas, One Daughter - Tammy Russell of Haysville, Kansas, Two Brothers Terry Shearmire of Scott City, Kansas and Randy & Kathi Shearmire of Modoc, Kansas, One Sister - Vicki Bremer of Scott City, Kansas, Four Grandchildren and Numerous Nieces, Nephews, other Relatives and Friends. He was preceded in death by his Parents. Graveside Memorial Services will be held at the Modoc Cemetery in Modoc, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008. Interment will be in the Modoc Cemetery, Modoc, Kansas Memorials In Lieu Of Flowers may be given to the Wennie Shearmire Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home There will be no calling times.
