Salina, Kansas Ronny A. Ray, age 67, died Sunday, June 24, 2007 at the St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri from injuries sustained in an automobile accident last week near Knob Noster, Missouri. He was born June 8, 1940 in Jacksonville, Florida the son of William John and Violet Mildred Johnson Ray. He graduated from High School and then attended college at Middle Tennessee State both in Murfreesboro, Tennessee later graduating from Brown Mackie College in Salina, Kansas. Formerly of Salina, Ronny and his wife had been living in Overland Park, Kansas since 1994 moving from Lincolnwood, Illinois. He was a salesman for Carstar. Inc. of Kansas City, Missouri retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Hillcrest Covenant Church of Prairie Village, Kansas. Ronny was a Founding Member of the C.I.C. (Collision Industry Conference). He also belonged to the S.C.R.S. (Society Of Collision Repair Specialists), the Salina Jaycee's and he was on the Salina VoTech Advisory Board. On July 10, 1965 he married Margaret Ellen Rundell in Bavaria, Kansas. She survives. Other Survivors Include: One Sister Patricia Ray Silcox of Jacksonville, Florida Several Nieces and Nephews. Ronny was preceded in death by his parents and a Sister-In-Law, Marilyn Peterson. Graveside Services will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas with Rev. Terry Major presiding. Friends may call from 9:30am-10:30am on Wednesday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. Memorials may be given to the Ronny Ray Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
