Beverly Nichols

Holcomb, Kansas Beverly C. Nichols, age 68, died Monday, January 25, 2010 at his home in Holcomb, Kansas. He was born March 28, 1941 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Velmer J. & Esther A. Degenhart Nichols. A lifetime Holcomb resident, he was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of the Christian Faith, a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club and the Garden City Bowling Association. He was an avid goose and deer hunter, and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, water skiing and riding snow mobiles. On March 2, 1979 he married Kaye A. Sloan in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives. Other Survivors Include: Three Sons, Trent P. Nichols of Garden City, Kansas, Kip A. Nichols of Garden City, Kansas, and Timothy S. Nichols of Wichita, Kansas; One Daughter, Tamara K. Hipp of Garden City, Kansas; One Brother, Joe Nichols of Garden City, Kansas; Seven Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild. He was preceded in death by 4 Brothers, Tuffy, Melvin, Pete & Jim; and 1 Sister, Martha. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, January 29, 2010 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Garden City with Pastor Rick Durham presiding. Friends may call from 10:00am-8:00pm on Thursday @ Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorials Gardens in Garden City, KS. The family requests memorials be given to the Bev Nichols Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
