Julian Montoya

Garden City, Kansas Julian Montoya Jr., age 51, died Sunday, September 7, 2008 at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born August 21, 1957 in Las Animas, Colorado the son of Julian Sr. and Isabel Garcia Montoya. He was a 1975 graduate of La Junta High School in La Junta, Colorado and later moved to Ulysses, Kansas. In 1985 he moved to Garden City where he worked as a cosmetologist and a certified nurses assistant. He was a member of the Catholic faith. Survivors Include: Two Sons, Brian S. Montoya of Garden City, KS and Nathen J. Montoya of Garden City, KS; One Brother, Dennis Montoya of Lamar, CO; Three Sisters, Connie Garcia of Garden City, KS, Christine Rascon of Garden City, KS and Carolyn McFatridge of Denver, CO; Thirteen Grandchildren, several nieces & nephews and six generations of extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00pm, Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas with Pastor Robert DeLeon presiding. There will be no calling times. Interment will be in the Las Animas Cemetery in Las Animas, Colorado. The family requests memorials be given to the Julian Montoya Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
