Luverne Keith

D. Luverne Keith, age 80, passed away at the Greeley County Hospital in Tribune, Kansas on Sunday, November 22, 2009. She was born on November 15, 1929 in Fairview, Oklahoma, the daughter of Leslie Vern and Dora Melissa Keeton Strecker. She was a resident of Tribune, Kansas since 1952 moving from Selkirk, Kansas Luverne was a secretary for Farm Bureau in Tribune for many years and also was the Deputy Appraiser for Greeley County for 11 1/2 years. Memberships include the United Methodist Church, VFW Auxiliary, and American legion Auxiliary all of Tribune, Kansas. On December 23, 1947 she married Luther L. Keith Sr. in Moreland, Kansas. He passed away on November 11, 1999 in Tribune, Kansas. Survivors Include her One Son - Luther & Claudia Keith of Wichita, Kansas, One Daughter - Mary Keith of Dodge City, Kansas, One Grandson - Michael Keith of Amarillo, Texas, Two Great Grandsons - Miles Keith of Amarillo, Texas and Gregory Keith of Amarillo, Texas. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Stepmother â Mable Strecker, Husband, One Step Brother â Gene Thacker and One Great Grandson â Corbin Keith. Funeral Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Tribune, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. M.S.T. Wednesday, November 25, 2009 with the Rev. Les Ellis presiding. Interment will be in the Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Greeley County EMS % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. M.S.T. Tuesday.
