Freda Asmundson

Scott City Freda I. (Conine) Asmundson, age 90, passed away at the Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center in San Diego, California on Wednesday, October 19, 2005. She was born on September 22, 1915 in Scott City, Kansas, the daughter of Charlie and Flossie Ryan Conine. A resident of California since 1979, she was a registered nurse. During World War II, she was stationed at Pearl Harbor where she held the rank of Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Nurses Corps. Memberships include: Christian Church Chula Vista, California Pearl Harbor Survivor Association On September 4, 1948 she married Gisli T. Asmundson in Port Hueneme, California. He passed away on August 26, 1989 in Bellflower, California. Survivors Include: One Son Dane Asmundson Pasadena, California Daughter in Law Ardy Asmundson Pasadena, California One Sister Waneta Whitham Leoti, Kansas Two Grandsons Ian Asmundson Las Vegas, Nevada Sean Asmundson Scottsdale, Arizona She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Five Sisters â Mildred Eaton, Tressa Griffith, Ressa Wheeler, Luella Case, and Wanda Hueftle, and Two Brothers â Clifford Conine and Dale Conine.
