James Anstine

Garden City, Kansas James L. "Jim" Anstine, age 61, died Friday, December 12, 2008 at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born October 12, 1947 in Arkansas City, Kansas, the son of L. S. "Shorty" and Ruth Louise Estep Anstine. A resident of Garden City since August of 2002 moving from Jetmore, Kansas he was a Pipeline Gauger for Plains All American GP, LLC. He was a member of the Methodist faith. On July 3, 1996 he married Irma Dee McConnell in Jetmore, Kansas. She survives. Other Survivors Include: One Step-Son, Bobby D. Richardson, stationed in Hawaii; One Step-Daughter, Teresa K. Richardson of Norman, Oklahoma; One Brother, Gene Anstine of Arkansas City, Kansas; Two Sisters, Irene Anstine of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Virginia Donaldson of Arkansas City, Kansas; Four Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a Daughter, Debbie Guevara, a Step-Son, Steven Richardson and his parents. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas with Reverend Brenda Fluellen presiding. An additional Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008 at the Mt. Zion Community Church in Arkansas City, Kansas with Pastor Gale Rider presiding. There will be no local calling times. Burial will be held in the Hope Cemetery in Arkansas City, Kansas. The family requests memorials be given to the St. Catherine Hospice in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
