Marilyn Joyce Wilbur, age 57, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at the Wichita County Hospital in Leoti, Kansas. Marilyn was born December 30, 1951 at Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of James Cave & Joyce Lorene Church McBride. A 1970 graduate of Wichita County High School, she was a farm wife, homemaker and a lifetime resident of Wichita County, Kansas. Marilyn's memberships include- First Baptist Church- Leoti, Kansas Wichita County Quilt Guild- " Former Sunday School teacher Former Bible School instructor Former bowling league member Served on the Wichita County School Board from 1994 through 1998. On September 12, 1970 she married Gary Gwyn Wilbur in Leoti, Kansas. He survives. Marilyn's other surviving family members include- Four daughters- Wendy Wilbur- Leoti. Kansas Aimee and her husband Kelley Burch- " Jennifer and her husband Matthew Ramsey- " Jill and her husband Matthew Riley- Syracuse, Kansas Her Mother- Joyce McBride- Leoti, Kansas Three brothers- James D. and his wife Kari McBride- Andover, Kansas Dennis R. and his wife Pam McBride- Pierceville, Kansas Thomas E. McBride- Wichita, Kansas Mother- in- law- Marilyn Wilbur- Wichita, Kansas Seven Grandchildren- Meghan Burch- Leoti, Kansas Treven Burch- " Molly Ramsey- " Morganne Riley- Syracuse, Kansas Katelynne Riley- " Madelyn Ramsey- Leoti, Kansas Addaline Riley- Syracuse, Kansas She was preceded in death by her father, James Cave McBride, in 2002. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Leoti, Kansas with the Reverends John Bliss and Dick Odum officiating. Burial will be in Leoti Cemetery, Leoti, Kansas. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church, Leoti E.M.T's or the Wichita County Amusement Assn. in care of the funeral home.
