Lucy Louise Dawson, age 78, died on Monday, July 12, 2021 at the Sunporch of Dodge City, Kansas.  She was born on September 12, 1942 the daughter of Merlin O. and Berneice M. Wright Ellis in Des Moines, Iowa.

She was married on February 24, 1979 in Carlise, Iowa to Gary Lee Dawson.  He preceded her in death on January 6, 2006.

Survivors include:

Four Daughters Sarah J. Woosley of Garden City, Kansas

Sandra D. Doss of Des Moines, Iowa

Annette J. Breeze of Des Moines, Iowa

Deneice M. Martin of Des Moines, Iowa

Five Siblings Mary E. Springer of Des Moines, Iowa

Jenny B. Mundy of Vale, Arizona

Bob Ellis of Des Moines, Iowa

Sharon E. Springer of Des Moines, Iowa

Donna J. Lively of Charles City, Iowa

Nine Grandchildren, and 11 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents,husband,  and three brothers, Tom V. Ellis, Buddy Legg, and Arthur Ellis.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

There will be no calling times.
