A. Sharon Mullen

A. Sharon Linder Mullen, age 85, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021, at the Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas.  She was born on June 6, 1935, at the rural home of her paternal grandfather, Emil Linder, in Dickinson County, Kansas.  Sharon was the oldest child of Albert and Mabel Burr Linder.  She graduated from high school in May of 1953 in Seibert, Colorado.

Sharon was married to Leonard L. Mullen in Raton, New Mexico on December 29, 1951.  To this union were born three sons and one daughter, Rick, Kevin, Shane, and Kandice.  They moved to Wichita county in March of 1956 where they resided to the present.

She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church where she had served as elder, deacon, and co-moderator of United Presbyterian Women and the 3 church team.

Sharon was a life member of McCowen Crouch #6952 VFW Auxiliary where she served as Chaplain and Secretary/Treasurer.  She was a trustee in the 6th District Auxiliary and also a member of the Wichita County Health Center volunteers.

Sharon is survived by two sons; Rick & Patty Mullen of Plainville, Kansas, Kevin & Kathy Mullen of Leoti, Kansas, and one daughter, Kandice McCabe of Pueblo, Colorado, and a daughter-in-law, Cindy Mullen of Oakley, Kansas.  Eight Grandchildren and Seventeen Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and one son, Shane Mullen.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2021, at the First United Presbyterian Church in Leoti, Kansas with the Pastor Stephen Morefield presiding.  Services will be streamed live on Facebook at Price and Sons Funeral Home page (www.facebook.com/priceandsons) starting at 1:55 PM.

There will be no calling times.

Memorials may be written to the Wichita County Health Center, Leoti EMS, or First United Presbyterian Church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home; PO Box 161, Leoti, Kansas, 67861.

Inurnment will be in the Beulah Cemetery in Wichita County, Kansas following the memorial service.
