Gertrude V. Brown, age 101, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas.  She was born on August 20, 1919, in Albert, Kansas, the daughter of Lee Elmer and Margaret Teten Cauthon.  Gertrude was a resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1932, moving from Albert, Kansas.  She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas.

On July 31, 1937, she married Lee L. Brown in Scott City, Kansas.  He passed away on October 4, 2002, in Scott City, Kansas.

Survivors include her One Son - Larry L. & Susan Brown of Scott City, Kansas, One Daughter - Delores J. Hughes of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, One Sister - Bonnie Dice of Napa, Idaho, Two Granddaughters - Cherie & Tony Kardelis of Lakewood, Colorado, Kori & Sage Davis of Scott City, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her Parent, Husband, Three Brothers - Elmer Cauthon, Galen Cauthon, Homer Cauthon, and One Sister - Patsy Whitson.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas with Rev. Rodney Hopper presiding.  Services will be streamed live on Facebook at Price and Sons Funeral Home page (www.facebook.com/priceandsons) starting at 10:25 a.m.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.

Memorials in Lieu of Flowers can be made to the First Christian Church or the St. Catherine Hospice in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home; PO Box 553; Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
