LaVonne Kelch, age 93, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the Lane County Hospital Long Term Care Unit in Dighton, Kansas. She was born on April 10, 1926 in Lane County, Kansas, the daughter of George Joseph and Bessie Leah Rich Cross. A lifetime resident of Lane County, Kansas, she was a teacher.
She was a member of the Healy United Methodist Church and UMW in Healy, Kansas.
On July 7, 1943 she married Emery Richard Kelch in Sweetwater, Texas. He passed away on October 4, 2004 in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors include her Two Sons - Maurice R. “Butch” Kelch of Garden City, Kansas, Valeny “Gene” Kelch of Garden City, Kansas, Two Daughters - Roxanna Felbush of Broomfield, Colorado, Tamara Piccone of Dighton, Kansas, Ten Grandchildren, Twenty Great Grandchildren and Seven Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Two Sons - John & Jimmy Ray, One Sister - Elma Cross and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Healy United Methodist Church in Healy, Kansas with Pastor Bud Tuxhorn officiating.
Burial will be in the Healy Cemetery in Healy, Kansas.
Memorials can be made to the Steele Home Museum at the Scott State Park in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
