Charles E. Smith

Charles E. Smith, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on September 12, 1935 in Scott City, Kansas, the son of John & Cora Snyder Smith. Charles was a lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas. At a young age he built grain elevators and later operated cow/ calf operation, Custom Farming and Custom Silage & Wheat Harvester. In 1954 he married Betty Lou Morris in Scott City, Kansas. She survives. Survivors include his Wife - Betty Lou Smith of Scott City, Kansas, Three Sons - Craig Smith of Scott City, Kansas, Mike Smith of Scott City, Kansas, Mark Smith of Wichita, Kansas, Three Daughters - Marla Williams of Scott City, Kansas, Rhonda Bauer of Pleasanton, Kansas, JoAnn McLemore of Grand Junction, Colorado, Eleven Grandchildren and Fourteen Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents, One Daughter - Delinna Smith, Nine Brothers and Two Sisters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 10:00 am at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas with Pastor Steve Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials can be made to the Charles E. Smith Memorial Fund in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
