Vick L. Eitel

Vick L. Eitel, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas.  He was born on December 2, 1949 in Scott City, Kansas, the son of Murl Loyd & Willidean Burkhead Eitel.  Vick was a lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas.  Early in his career he was worked in Construction and later he worked for Fairleigh Corporation of Scott City for 27 years where he was referred to as the Go To Guy.

He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam conflict receiving the Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Army Commendation Medal and Air Medal.  He was a member of the VFW and El Quartellejo Saddle Club all of Scott City, Kansas. 

On February 17, 1998 he married Sandra Jackson in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives.

Survivors include his Wife - Sandra Eitel of Scott City, Kansas, One Son - Darren Terry of San Antonio, Texas Three Daughters - Chrissy Love of Pueblo, Colorado, Veronica Mayer of Scott City, Kansas, Jennifer Terry of Topeka, Kansas, Three Brothers - Dan Eitel of Hardy, Arkansas, Curt Eitel of Scott City, Kansas, Rodney Eitel of Scott City, Kansas, Three Sisters - Karen Holterman of Scott City, Kansas, Connie Eitel of Goodland, Kansas Tammy Otterstetter of Penrose, Colorado and Six Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and and One Sister - Nixie Ann Eitel.

Memorial services will be held at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with the Steve Payne presiding.

Memorials may be made to Scott City Vets For Veterans in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes.

Inurnment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.
