Verne L. Giesick

Verne Giesick, age 94, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at his home in Scott City, Kansas.  He was born on January 14, 1923 in Otis, Kansas, the son of Charles & Elsie Avis Giesick.  A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1964, moving from Palco, he was a Plant Supervisor for Kinder Morgan until retirement.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas, The Republican Party and Senator Bob Dole Campaign Member.

On June 6, 1943 he married Carol L. Schlegel in Otis, Kansas.  She passed away on March 12, 1999 in Denver, Colorado.

Survivors include his one Daughter In Law - Eyra Giesick of Scott City, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife - Carol Giesick , One Son - Stewart Giesick and Two Grandchildren - Boris Giesick & Melody Giesick.

Memorials may be made to Scott Community Foundation in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes.

There will be no calling times.

Inurnment will be in the Otis Cemetery in Otis, Kansas at a later date and time.
