Sgt. Algrim

Garden City, Kansas Sgt. Seth M. Algrim, age 22, died Monday, October 30, 2006 @ Camp Pendleton, California from injuries sustained in a training accident. He was born March 20, 1984 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Bruce E. and Jacquelin S. Newlin Algrim. A lifetime resident of Garden City, he was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps stationed at Camp Pendleton in California. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Garden Valley Church Youth Group, and the VFW, all of Garden City. Survivors include: Father, Bruce Algrim of Garden City; his Mother, Jackie Algrim of the Home 2 Brothers Lucas Algrim and Jacob Algrim both of the Home; his Grandmother, Melusine Algrim of Lakin, Kansas and his Grandfather, Rev. Wayne Newlin of Waterville, Kansas Preceded in death by a grandfather, Irwin l. Algrim and a grandmother, Esther Newlin. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Monday, November 6, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church, Garden City, Kansas with Rev. David Bell & Rev. Steve Ensz presiding. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas with full military honors.
