Barbara Crist

Barbara Crist, age 95, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on January 10, 1916 in Rush Center, Kansas, the daughter of John Herman & Willa Edna Bishop Park. Barbara was a resident of Garden City, Kansas for 52 years before moving to Scott City, Kansas in 1986. She also spent part of the years at the family farm on the Finney County/Scott County area. She was a homemaker. Her memberships include the Community Congregational Church of Garden City. On September 25, 1937 she married Ted E. Crist in Garden City, Kansas. He passed away on August 31, 1989 in Scott City, Kansas. Survivors Include Two Sons - Ted Crist of Scott City, Kansas, Max Crist of Mesa, Arizona, Two Daughters - Toni Patton of Scott City, Kansas, Marsha LeCheminant of Belton, Texas, 14 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, One Brother, and One Sister. Memorial Services will be held at the Prairie View Church Of The Brethren in Friend, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011 with the Rev. Jon Tuttle presiding. Inurnment will be in the Prairie View Church Cemetery in Friend, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Prairie View Church Of The Brethren or Scott Community Foundation â John Eli Crist Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas. There will be no calling times.
