Jack A. Buxton, age 62, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at his home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on October 24, 1946 in Lamar, Colorado, the son of Wilbur James and Thelma Maurine Wilson Buxton. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1972 moving from Limon, Colorado, he worked as a lineman for Wheatland Electric for over 20 years,
His memberships include the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas.
On September 29, 1966 he married Velma Marie Reeves in Lamar, Colorado. She survives.
Survivors include his Wife - Velma Buxton of Scott City, Kansas; Two Sons - Jerry Buxton of Scott City, Kansas, Robert Buxton of Narvik, Norway; Three Brothers - Jim Buxton of Scottsdale, Arizona, John Buxton of New Jersey, Steven Buxton of Sterling, Colorado; One Sister - Linda Jones of Wiley, Colorado; One Sister in Law - Irene McKinnis of Eads, Colorado and Five Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by One Brother â Jerry Buxton.
Funeral Service will be held at the Gospel Fellowship Church in Shallow Water, Kansas at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2009 with Larry Taylor presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Jack A. Buxton Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
