James Burt

James Owen Burt, age 40, died at Marble Canyon, AZ on April 23, 2011. Jim was born September 16, 1970 in Flagstaff, AZ, to Owen Max Burt and Jacqueline Arlene Auten (Lachance). Jim attended Coconino High School, Benson Union High School, and Cochise Community College (graduating in 2001). He lived in Flagstaff, AZ; Sierra Vista, AZ; Grand Canyon South Rim, AZ; Grand Canyon North Rim, AZ; Benson, AZ; Tucson, AZ; Maricopa, AZ, Mesa, AZ; and Marble Canyon, AZ. Jim worked at Galliano's Restaurant, Canyoneers, Benson Hospital, Schlotzsky's, and Lees Ferry Lodge (Vermilion Cliffs). He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and will be especially remembered for his love of Family. Survivors include his Mother Jacqueline Arlene Lachance (Jack) of Maricopa, AZ, Father Owen Max Burt of Benson, AZ, Sister Denice Kelly Piwowar (Robert), Niece Isabella Allison Piwowar, Nephew Marcellus James Piwowar, Nephew Max Robert Piwowar, Uncle Dewey Allison Auten Jr., Uncle John David Burt (Cindy), Uncle James Henson (Beta), Uncle Robert Walker, and Uncle Michael Walker (Marci). Interment will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas on May 13, 2011 at 1:00 pm.
