David Burnett

David C. Burnett, age 71, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009 at his home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on April 11, 1938 in Monticello, Arkansas, the son of John W. and Velma Pearson Burnett. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1959 moving from Monticello, Arkansas, he was a carpenter. On July 25, 1959 he married Carol Smith in Scott City, Kansas. She survives. Survivors include his Wife - Carol Burnett of Scott City, Kansas; One Son & Daughter in Law - Mark & Nora Burnett of Scott City, Kansas; One Brother - Randall Burnett of Wilmer, Arkansas; One Half Brother - John M. Burnett of Odessa, Texas; One Sister - Carolyn Warren of Liberal, Kansas; Two Grandsons - Alex Burnett of Scott City, Kansas, Andrew Burnett of Scott City, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his Parents and 21 Brothers & Sisters. Memorial Services will be held at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2009 with Fr. Warren Stecklein presiding. Inurnment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Scott County Hospital % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City. There will be no calling times.
