Derreck Paul Anders, age 53, died in Finney County, Kansas on Saturday, March 20, 2021.  He was born on August 17, 1967 in Sumter, South Carolina, the son of Melvin R. Anders and Jana Englehart Holder.

 

He was a member of the Garden City community for the past three months after moving from Wichita, Kansas and he worked as a Quality Inspector in the Aviation industry.

JayLien Anders of Wichita, Kansas

Father Melvin Anders (Shelley) of Cabot, Arkansas

One Sister Michelle Herberger (Dave) of St. Charles, Missouri

Two Grandchildren Sawyer Ewertt of Mulvane, Kansas

Lydia Ewertt of Mulvane, Kansas

Paternal Grandmother Dacy Morrison of Ridgeway Pennsylvania

Many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elvon and Bernadine Englehart; paternal grandfather, Melvin Anders.

 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas from 10-4 pm.

 

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Memorials in lieu can be made to the American Legion, 1335 N. Hydraulic Ave, Wichita, Kansas 67214.
