William L. "Bill" See, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on May 25, 1927 in Grigston, Kansas, the son of Lester & Frieda Elliot See. A lifetime resident of Scott County, Kansas, he was a farmer, stockman and an oil pumper for over 55 years. His memberships include First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas, the Farm Bureau Board, ASCS Board, Church Deacon, Church Trustee Chairman, and has taught Sunday School since he was 17. Bill was also a School Board Member for 12 years in Scott City. On August 4, 1956 he married Tava Starr in Scott City, Kansas. She survives. Survivors Include his Wife - Tava See of Scott City, Kansas, Three Sons - Mike & Marilyn See of Scott City, Kansas, Jim See of Scott City, Kansas, Richard & Dawn See of Winfield, Kansas, One Daughter - Linda See of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sisters - Betty Scheuerman of Scott City, Kansas, Joan & Wayne McPherson of Cape Girardeau, MO and Six Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife â Pearl Goss See, One Son â Billy See and Two Sisters â Patty See & Norma Lea Wasinger. Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 with the Rev. Kyle Evans presiding. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church or Camp Christy % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.
