William Robert "Bob" Renick, age 95, died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at The Shepherd's Center in Cimarron, Kansas. He was born on June 20, 1915 in Garden City, Kansas the son of William Frank and Anna Julia Klug Renick. A lifetime Gray County resident, he was a farmer and stockman.
He was a member of the Pierceville Federated Church of Pierceville, Kansas, and was a WWII Navy veteran serving on the U.S.S. Medusa in the South Pacific.
On October 29, 1947 he married Ruby Ethel Koppisch in Gove, Kansas. She passed away on December 4, 2002 in Garden City.
Survivors Include: A son, Gerald D. (& Jeanne) Renick of Ingalls, Kansas; A daughter, Ila J. (& David) Reynolds of Ingalls, Kansas; Two Grandchildren and six Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry & Donald R. Renick, and one sister, Fern L. Jackson.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas with Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding.
Friends may call from 4-8:00pm Friday @ the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
The family requests memorials be given to The Shepherd's Center, Hospice of the Prairie or to the church, all in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
