William "Bill" D. Krebs, age 67, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on January 3, 1939 in Scott City, Kansas, the son of William R. and Alta M. Scott Krebs. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, he was a farmer and stockman. He was a Scott Community High School graduate and attended Fort Hays State University.
Bill's kind spirit touched everyone who came in contact with him whether it was his family or friends. His was a life of caring and service to others. He loved to help with church dinners, fund raising, or community service. Bill was instrumental in starting the annual Beef Fiesta in Scott County and was an avid sports enthusiast that loved watching high school and college sports. Other personal interests were pitching horseshoes, playing cards or dominos with buddies. He was always there for everyone he knew. He truly led a life of compassion through the example of the actions he took daily.

On August 24, 1957 he married Marilyn Basgall in Scott City, Kansas. She survives.
