William E. “Bill” Hamann was born on August 23, 1940, to parents Melva Gay Hamann and Hans Henry Hamann. He passed away on April 5, 2020.
Bill is survived by his sister Dorthea Bennett, his daughter Jan Monee Trizuto, son-in-law Vito Trizuto, grandson Tristan J. Auclair, granddaughter Tatum M. Auclair, as well as his daughter Jill Marie Hamann of Arkansas.
Bill went to Tribune schools from grade school through high school, graduating in 1958. He then went on to higher education at Kansas State University and Fort Hays State University before teaching high school for five years and enjoying a wonderful career of 25 years with the City of Phoenix, where he was Assistant to the City Engineer. Bill retired to Tribune in 2003 and enjoyed 17 years of retirement.
As per Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place and he is to be scattered at the Hamann farm, Peggy’s Place, and graveside. He requested that his memorial be held during Fair time when folks are in-town. Details will be decided at a later date.
Bill Hamann loved this community and its people, and he will be missed.
