Wesley W. Leadabrand Jr., age 68, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on June 11, 1942 in Eaton, Colorado, the son of Wesley W. and Ruth Belle White Leadabrand Sr. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since June of 2006 moving from LaSalle, Colorado, he was a Mechanic and Feedlot Mill Operator.
His memberships include the NRA and he was a United State Navy Veteran. Wesley enjoyed hunting, fishing and all wildlife activities.
On March 13, 1969 he married Carolyn Reese in Sterling, Colorado. She passed away on January 24, 1988 in Lakin, Kansas.
Survivors include One Daughter - Weslyon Marie & Jeremy Fry of Scott City, Kansas, One Brother - David Leadabrand of Rocky Ford, Colorado, One Grandson - Andrew Fry of Scott City, Kansas and Numerous Nieces & Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and Wife.
Funeral Services will be held at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2011 with the Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding.
Graveside services will be held at the Lakin Cemetery in Lakin, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2011.
Memorials may be given to the Welsey W. Leadabrand Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
