Wayne S. Bentley, age 83, joined his lifetime love in heaven on April 16, 2013 at the Kansas Soldiers Home in Fort Dodge, Kansas. He was born on May 10, 1929 in Jerome, Kansas, the son of Clayton Stanley and Leah Seivert Bentley. A lifetime resident of Healy, Kansas he was a Farmer and Ranch Hand. Wayne was a US Army Airborne Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict .
He was a member of the Christ The King Lutheran Church of Dighton, Kansas.
On March 18, 1961 he married Opal Elizabeth Busch in Linn, Missouri. She passed away on January 14, 2007 in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors Include his One Daughter - Tammy Harrington of Tulsa, Oklahoma, One Granddaughter - Jennifer Harrington of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Two Grandsons - Mr & Mrs. Jeremy Harrington of Tulsa, OK, Joshua Harrington of Tulsa, Oklahoma, One Sister - Velura & Jerry Schmalzreid of McPherson, Kansas, Two Great Granddaughters - Destinee Harrington of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Kiera Chastain of Tulsa, Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, One Sister - Velma Siebert and One Brother - Valeny Bentley.
Memorial Services will be held at the Healy United Methodist Church in Healy, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 with the Rev. James Brackett presiding.
Donations may be made to the Kansas Soldiers Home in Fort Dodge, Kansas.
Inurnment will be in the Healy Cemetery in Healy, Kansas.
