Wanda Shirlene Williams, age 65, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Deseret Health & Rehab in Smith Center, Kansas. She was born on August 5, 1948 in Caglesville, Arkansas, the daughter of Jimmie J. and Mary Jane Burris Mackey.
Shirlene grew up in Winona, KS. She liked to help with the farm and ranch and enjoyed horses and buffalo as well as dogs. She helped on the family farm near Russell Springs, KS doing wheat harvest for many years. She was the secretary for the American Buffalo Association. Shirlene also volunteered at the Wallace Museum and the Fick Fossil Museum. She was an avid reader, loved to bake and collected antiques.
Survivors include her One Daughter - Shirla Mitchell of Oakley, Kansas, One Son - Wilbur Wayne & Jill Williams of Wiley, Colorado, One Sister - Terri & John Marks of Magna, Utah, Five Grandchildren and One Great Grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, One Brother - Rick Mackey and One Sister - LaTonda Wilson.
Graveside Services will be held at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 with the Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding.
Memorials may be given to the Huntingtons Foundation or Shriners % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
