Waldo Unruh, age 89, died on October 7, 2016 at his residence in Garden City, kansas. He was born on January 8, 1927 in Meade, Kansas the son of William and Augusta Unruh.
He was a member of the Baptist Faith.
On February 14, 1950 he married Bette Mae Unruh. She died on January 4, 2009.
Survivors include: Two Children, Greg and Angie Unruh of Weskan Kansas, Caroline and Alvin Grantz of Garden City, Kansas; Nine Grandchildren, Greg Unruh, Jr. of Goodland, Kansas, Jamie and David Proctor of Monument, Colorado, Chris Unruh of Woodland, Kansas, Ashleigh (Barber) and James Gore of Grand Fork, North Dakota, Kristi and RJ McCall of Dallas, Texas, Janie and Jarrod Schmidt of Tribune, Kansas, Cole Herchberger of Montana, Alvin Grantz III of Enid, Oklahoma, Branden Grantz of Enid, Oklahoma, Josh Grantz of Enid, Oklahoma; Five siblings, Dolly Poggendorf of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, Betty and Marv Mick of West Virgina, Raymond and DaMaris Unruh of Elbing, Kansas, Lester and Verla Unruh of South Carolina, Dale and Ruth Unruh of Andrews, Texas; one sister-in-law, Marie Unruh of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death buy his parents; wife, brothers, Lee, Alan, Edward, Larry; sister-in-laws, Wilma, Linda; brother-in-law, Paul Poggendorf.
Funeral services will be held at on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas at 10:00 a.m. (CST).
Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. (MST) at the Weskan Cemetery in Weskan, Kansas.
Open calling will be from 5-8 on Monday and 10-8 on Tuesday with the family present from 6-8 on Tuesday at Price and Sons Funeral Home.
