Virginia Patterson

Garden City, Kansas Virginia Irene Patterson, age 88, died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Satanta Long Term Care Unit in Satanta, Kansas. She was born January 12, 1921 in Mondamin, Iowa the daughter of Wm. Earl and Ruby Erma Cooper Robinson. A resident of Garden City since 1942 moving from Sublette, Kansas she had been a bookkeeper and secretary retiring in 1985. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Garden City, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Finney County Genealogical Society. On August 6, 1941 she married Ralph Edward Patterson in Little Rock, Arkansas. He died June 24, 2001 in Garden City, Kansas. Survivors Include: One Son, Dale Patterson of Garden City Kansas: One Daughter, Carolyn McLinn of Garden City, Kansas; One Brother, Mervin Leon Robinson of Garden City, Kansas; Four Grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two Brothers, George LeRoy and William Hugh Robinson and a sister, Bonnie Louise Winter. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City, Kansas with the Rev. David Bell presiding. Friends may call from 1:00-8:00pm on Monday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Garden City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Church or to the Daughters Of The American Revolution both in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
