Virginia Jefferson

Virginia Lee Jefferson, age 80, died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on August 5, 1932 in Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of Emery W. and Ellen Hindman Overly. A resident of Garden City since 1965 she had been an office manager for an insurance company and later was a sales representative for Avon. On April 7, 1951 she married Donald C. Jefferson in Denver, Colorado. He survives. Other survivors include: One Daughter, Karen Jo Page of Belen, New Mexico; One Son, Scott D. Jefferson of Holcomb, Kansas; One Sister, Sherrill Burke of Houston, Texas; Three Grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Don W. Jefferson. No services are scheduled at this time. Memorials may be given to the St. Judes Childrens Hospital in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
