Victoria “Vickie” D. Wright, age 74, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Via Christy St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on August 27, 1946 in Scott City, Kansas, the daughter of George P. And Rita Marie Lauber Stratton. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, she was a X-Ray Technician at the Scott City Clinic where she worked for 32 years until her retirement.
She was a member of the Community Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas. Vickie loved to knit afghans, and work crossword books. She loved being with her children and doing things with the grand kids. Vickie loved watching her grandson, Brady ride bulls and was very proud of him when he was singing and playing his guitar.
Vickie also loved to watch Mason race his BMX at a young age and was proud of Ericka for graduating to become a teacher. She was also proud of Emily and Jessica for being hard workers at a young age. Vickie also enjoyed her loyal dogs, Buddy and Skittles, and her cats.
On September 5, 1961 she married Wilbur J. Wright in Scott City, Kansas. He survives.
Survivors include her Husband - Wilbur Wright of Scott City, Kansas, One Daughter - Christine & Brad Nichols of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sons - Rodney & Judith Wright of Scott City, Kansas, Ricky Wright & Marilyn Schmidt of Scott City, Kansas, One Sister - Deanna Russell of Brandsville, Missouri, One Brother - Darrell Nickel of Sidney, Nebraska, One Grandson - Brady Nichols of Scott City, Kansas, Three Granddaughters - Ericka & Alan Collier of Kechi, Kansas, Jessica Wright & Ron Black of Scott City, Kansas, Emily & Tate Roberts of Scott City, Kansas, Five Great Grandchildren - Ayden Warta of Scott City, Kansas, Michael Black of Scott City, Kansas, Paislee Kirk of Scott City, Kansas, Ronnisha Black of Scott City, Kansas, Gillian Roberts of Scott City, Kansas and Numerous Nephews and Nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, One Son - Aaron Wayne Wright, One Brother - Virgil Stratton, One Granddaughter - Melody Ann Wright, One Grandson - Mason Drake Wright, One Nephew - Michael Muirhead, One Brother In Law - Lynn Russell, and a Close Family Friend - Randy Rohrbough.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas with Don Williams presiding. The funeral services will be live streamed on Price & Sons facebook page starting at 10:20 a.m.
Inurnment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas
Memorials in Lieu of Flowers can be made to the Vickie Wright Memorial Fund in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home.
