Verna Louise Willman, age 91, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on December 31, 1928, in Kansas City, Missouri, the adopted daughter of Elmer Roy and Viola Russell Luce. Verna was a resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1960 when she moved here from Haddam, Kansas. Verna was a homemaker and clerk at Duckwall's.
Verna was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Scott City, Kansas, and a member of the Ladies Aid Society and Church Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Scott County EHU “Worthwhile Workers.”
On April 4, 1948, Verna Married Alvin William Willman in Morrowville, Kansas. He passed away on February 17, 2003.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy L. & Gary Johnson of Bossier City, Louisiana, her two sons; William R. Willman of Holcomb, Kansas and Robert L. Willman of Scott City, Kansas. Her four grandchildren; Timothy W. & Jenni Johnson of Wichita, Kansas, Melissa M. & Steve Garrett of Stonewall, Louisiana, Wendy L. & Chris Crawford of Winfield, Missouri, and David & Mindy Willman, three Great-Grandchildren, and four nieces.
Verna was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas with Steve Payne presiding. Services will be Live -Streamed on Price & Sons Funeral Home Facebook page starting at 1:55 p.m. Saturday.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas
Memorials in Lieu of Flowers can be made to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in care of Price and Sons Funeral Homes.
Visitation for Verna will be on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
