Tonja Lynn Wheeler, age 50, passed away at the Via Christi Regional Medical Center St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. She was born on August 2, 1959 in Scott City, Kansas, the daughter of Hampton "Hank" and Lynda Roush Burnett. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas she was employed as a waitress at the Peking Garden Chinese Restaurant in Scott City.
Her memberships include the First Christian Church of Scott City, Kansas.
On July 19, 1993 she married Michael Wheeler in Fort Riley, Kansas. He survives.

Wheeler of Afghanistan, Mother - Lynda Burnett of Scott City, Kansas, Father In Law Wendall Wheeler of Fairborn, Ohio, Mother In Law - Jean Wheeler of Fairborn, Ohio, Two Brothers - Woodrow Burnett of Garden City, Kansas, Michael Burnett of Garden City, Kansas, Two Sisters - Ramona Hoffner of Holyoke, Colorado, Tracey Cordova of Holyoke, Colorado, One Brother in Law - James Wheeler of Fairborn, Ohio, and One Sister In Law - Tammy Perry of New Carlisle, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her Father â Hampton "Hank" Burnett.
Funeral Services will be at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009 with the Rev. Jeff Knighton presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials in Lieu of Flowers can be given to the Tonja L. Wheeler Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
