Thomas J. Mancha, age 79, died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on December 21, 1927 at Hoisington, Kansas the son of Carlos and Virginia Orozco Mancha. A resident of Garden City since 1957, moving from Hoisington, he had been an Automotive Mechanic for Burtis Motors in Garden City for 45 years retiring in 2001.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Garden City, Kansas, the National Rifle Association and he was a Corporal in the U.S. Army.
On Dec. 6, 1945 he married Guillermina "Gilda" Garcia in Lawton, Oklahoma. She survives.

Vigil and Rosary services will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas.
Memorial Mass will be held at @ 11:00am on Thursday, July 5, 2007 @ the St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City with Father Colin Boor offictiating.
There will be no calling times.
Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Valley View Cemetery, Garden City, KS.
The family requests memorials be given to the Thomas Mancha Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
