Theodore M. "Ted" Shelden, age 69, died Saturday, December 8, 2012, at the Kansas Soldiers Home in Fort Dodge, Kansas. He was born April 20, 1943 in Trinidad, Colorado, the son of Eli Norman & Ida Mae Clower Shelden. A lifelong resident of Garden City, Ted had worked at Kerr Implement and later as Parts Manager for Machine Supply for many years. He was a US Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam era.
On August 16, 1961 he married Barbara Ann Miller in Lakin, Kansas.
She died December 31, 2011 in Garden City, KS.
Survivors Include:
Two Sons, Russell Shelden of Topeka, Kansas and
Michael Shelden of Holcomb, Kansas;
One Daughter, Teddi Ann Shelden of Wichita, Kansas;
His Mother, Ida Mae Shelden of Lakin, Kansas;
Five Brothers, Robert Shelden of Branson, Colorado,
Thomas Shelden of Garden City, Kansas,
Donald Shelden of Rolla, Kansas,
Roger Shelden of Niangua, Missouri and
Norman Shelden of Lakin, Kansas;
Five Grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Two Brothers, Jerry & William Shelden and Two Sisters, Thelma Turney & Rhonda Church.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on, Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
There will be no public visitation at the funeral home.
Inurnment will take place later in Branson, Colorado.
Memorials may be given to the Kansas Soldiers Home @ Fort Dodge, Kansas in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
