Theodore (Ted) John Graff, 82, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. He was born August 12, 1932, in St. Theresa, Kansas, to John and Josephine (Werth) Graff.
He was a lifetime farmer and stockman. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marienthal, Kansas and an honorary life member of Knights of Columbus. He was also a past board member of the Wichita County Historical Society.
On December 27, 1956, he married Darlene Marie Strasser in Garden City, Kansas. She preceded him in death on February 20, 2011.
Survivors include four daughters, Meleesa and Sam Louder of Lubbock, TX, Carla and Danny Geyer of Leoti, KS, Linda and Eugene Klatt of Canton, KS, Jennifer and Marvin Rack of Hays, KS; three sons, Tim and Cathy of Scott City, KS, Kurt and Tammy of Leoti, KS, and Loren and Kristen of Salina, KS; four sisters Armenia Palkowitsh, Henrietta Baker, Thelma DeWitt and Bernita George; fourteen grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and ten step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Victor, Marcellus, and Justin; two sisters, Delphine Schmidt and Pauline Schiffelbein; and four infant siblings, Ferdinand, Nicholas, Dennis and Mary Alice.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marienthal with Fr. Benjamin Martin presiding. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Marienthal.
Vigil service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marienthal.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Leoti EMS, Wichita County Health Center, or for Catholic masses, all in care of the funeral home.
