Steven Leroy Unruh

Steven Leroy Unruh, age 76, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas.  He was born on October 11, 1941 in Montezuma, Kansas, the son of Cornelius P & Alma L. Knoll Unruh.  A lifetime resident of Pence, Kansas, he was a farmer.

He was a member of the Scott Mennonite Church in Pence, Kansas.

On July 16, 1971 he married Phebe Friesen in Crooked Creek, Alberta, Canada.  She survives.

Survivors include his Wife - Phebe Unruh of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sons - Cameron & Eva Unruh of Scott City, Kansas, Arden & Michalle Unruh of Iroquois, South Dakota, One Daughter - Denise Unruh of Scott City, Kansas, Three Grandsons - Alaric Unruh & Brycen Unruh of Scott City, Kansas, J’den Unruh of Iroquois, South Dakota, Two Brothers - Douglas Unruh of Versailles, Missouri, Glen Unruh of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sisters - Jeraldine Reimer of Lakin, Kansas, Edith Koehn of Dukedom, Tennessee, Four Brother-in-Laws - Herman Friesen of Peace River, Alberta, Canada, Stephen Friesen of Crooked Creek, Alberta, Canada, Luke Friesen of Crooked Creek, Alberta, Canada, Jonathan Friesen of Clairmont, Alberta, Canada, Two Sister-in-Laws - Christine Zeiset of Verden, Oklahoma, Lydia Toews of Wanham, Alberta, Canada, and One Sister In Law - Marj Friesen of Crooked Creek, Alberta, Canada.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Parents In Law, One Daughter In Law - Marcie Unruh, and One Brother In Law.

Funeral Services will be held at the Scott Mennonite Church in Pence, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2018 with Richard Koehn, Charles Nightengale, Franklin Koehn and Daniel Koehn presiding.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may made to the Steven Unruh Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes.

Interment will be in the Scott Mennonite Church Cemetery in Pence, Kansas

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.
