Steven Rapier

Steven R. Rapier, age 45, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on September 10, 1963 in Scott City, Kansas, the son of Jack and Sharon Hanzlick Rapier. A resident of Leoti, Kansas since 1994 moving from Hamilton County, Kansas, he was a Teacher and Basketball Coach for USD 467 in Leoti, Kansas. He was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scott City, Kansas and a member of the Kansas National Education Association. Survivors include Two Sons - Landon Rapier of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Brett Barrientos of Wichita, Kansas, Parents - Jack & Sherry Rapier of Scott City, Kansas, One Brother - Kerry Rapier of Flower Mound, Texas, One Sister - Kammy Rapier of Wichita, Kansas, Memorial Services will be held at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009 with the Rev. Warren Prochnow. Memorials in Lieu of Flowers may be given to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Leoti EMT's % Price & Sons Funeral Homes. The public may sign the register book and leave memorials at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday.
