Spencer Unruh

Spencer Edwin Unruh was born to Mike and Kelly Unruh on July 13, 1996 in Norfolk, Nebraska. During the summer of 1999 when he was 3 years old, he and his family moved to Greeley Colorado. It was while they lived there that Spencer, at about 7 years of age, accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior from his sins. In June of 2008 when he was almost 12 years old, he moved with his family to a farm south of Garden City, Kansas. He developed and nurtured a great interest in meteorology and hoped to one day attend the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley to major in Earth Science while being involved with the Air Force ROTC. He graduated from the Kansas Connections Academy with honors this past May. He loved playing the violin, he loved his country, and he loved his family. On Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the age of 17, Spencer went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Kelly Unruh, his brothers Brandon and Riley, all of Garden City, Kansas, and his sister Rochelle Scheibner of Raleigh, North Carolina.
