Shannon Rose Winderlin, age 24, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas in the presence of her family. She was born on June 18, 1997, in Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of Chris Winderlin and Letha Parsons Winderlin. Shannon was a lifelong resident of Scott City, Kansas, and a graduate of Scott Community High School.
Shannon brought endless joy with her contagious laugh and smile. Despite Shannon’s disability, she found happiness in the simple things in life- the joy of seeing a loved one, her favorite movies and TV shows, animals, flowers, and countless others. She showed so much love without ever saying a word. Shannon was a blessing to those who had the privilege to know her, and she impacted numerous lives with her ever-shining personality.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors include Parents- Chris & Letha Winderlin of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sisters, Paige Winderlin of Scott City, Kansas, Kameron Winderlin of Scott City, Kansas, Brother- Brandon Winderlin of Scott City, Kansas, Grandparents- Bob & Judy Winderlin of Scott City, Kansas, and Marilyn Parsons of Leavenworth, Kansas, and Numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by Grandparent James Parsons and Cousin Tanner Cloyd.
Vigil services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas with Fr. Warren Stecklein presiding. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday at Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St.; Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
