Sangvane Phetpriyavanh, age 48, died Sunday, May 24, 2009 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on September 26, 1960 in Vientiane, Laos, the daughter of Thong Dy and Kham My. A Garden City resident since 1993, moving from Des Moines, Iowa, she was a meat processor for Tyson foods.
She was a member of the Buddhist faith.
Survivors Include: Significant Other, Viengnakhong Kitavarada of the home; Three Sons, Anousak Phetpriyavanh of Amarillo, Texas, Tony Phetpriyavanh of Des Moines, Iowa and Chris Kitavarada of the home; One Daughter, Christy Kitavarada of the home; Three Brothers, Khampha Phouvanay of Laos, Phousadeth Vongsikhay of Garden City, Kansas and Deth Sanouvong of Dodge City, Kansas; Four Sisters, Oudai "Amy" Chiphiphong of Garden City, Kansas, Chakky Tae Phouvanay of Garden City, Kansas, Voraphet Rattana of Dodge City, Kansas and Mary B. Phitsanoukanh of Garden City, Kansas; One Grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, KS with the Buddhist Temple of Amarillo, Texas presiding.
Friends may call from 5:00-7:00pm Saturday and from Noon until Service Time Sunday @ the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will take place in Thailand at a later date.
