Samuel G. Berry, age 83, passed away at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas on Sunday, September 16, 2012. He was born on September 15, 1929 in Bell County, Texas the son of Wilson W. And Bessie Lee Isbell Berry. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1946 moving from Oklahoma, he was a Farmer and in the Seed Business. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War with the rank of Staff Sargent receiving 3 Bronze medals during his tour.
He was a member of VFW Post 7773 in Scott City, Kansas.
On October 16, 1953 he married Martha E. Dean in Scott City, Kansas. She survives.
Survivors include his Wife - Martha Berry of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sons - Harold D. Berry of Scott City, Kansas, Albert E. Berry of Scott City, Kansas, Three Daughters - Patricia L. Snow of Pence, Kansas, Sondra M. Berry of Scott City, Kansas, Barbra E. Berry of Scott City, Kansas, Six Brothers - Wilson "Bud" Berry of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Wayde Berry of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Wayne Berry of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Dranon "Roy" Berry of Scott City, Kansas, Sherman "Red" Berry of Canton, Oklahoma, Gerrel Berry of Alva, Oklahoma, Two Sisters - Virginia King of Altus, Oklahoma, Emalee Twyford of Council Bluffs, Iowa, 8 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Three Brothers, Two Sisters and One Granddaughter.
Graveside Services will be at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2012 with Garee Geist presiding.
Memorials may be given to the Samuel G. Berry Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 10:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
