GARDEN CITY
Russell Franklin Freeman, age 83, died on December 23, 2017 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on December 19, 1934 in Seminole, Oklahoma the son of Claud Napoleon and Freda Cathy Freeman.
Russell enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, traveling, spending time with his family, and loved making others laugh with his stories and jokes. He also enjoyed playing scrabble with his kids and grandkids. Russell owned a successful business for many years, and enjoyed going to his office everyday. He was a Garden City resident since 1982 having moved from Great Bend, Kansas. He was a member of the Christian faith and the Elks lodge.
On October 25, 1954 he married Jo Ella Jackson in Ada, Oklahoma. She survives.

Three Great Grandchildren.
There will be no calling times.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the American Heart Association and the National Stroke Association in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, 620 N. Main St. Garden City, Kansas 67846.
