Ruby H. Wilkens, age 100, passed away at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas on Wednesday, December 8, 2011. She was born on November 3, 1911 in Rice County, Kansas, the daughter of David & Olivia Latzke Keller. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1947 moving from Lorraine, Kansas, she was a Wife, Mother, Teacher, Farm Manager, and Piano Instructor.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas, The El Quartelejo Study Club, and the Federated Music Club. Ruby had a zest for life that she shared with her family, friends and community. She touched scores of lives with her love of music, teaching piano into her late 90's. She generously contributed her time, talent, and resources in support of her church and numerous worthy causes. Her insatiable curiosity led to travel to many countries in all but one continent.
On October 11, 1936 she married Rolland Edwin Wilkens in Rice County, Kansas. He passed away on July 14, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas.
Survivors include her One Daughter - Karen W. & Larry Olson of Estes Park, Colorado, Three Sons - Jerrel L. Wilkens & Barbara Ballachey of Calgary, Canada, Lon A. & Penny Wilkens of St. Charles, Missouri, Bruce E. & Jonny Bill Wilkens of Scott City, Kansas, One Sister-In-Law - Doris Wilkens of Perryton, Texas, 10 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and One Brother â Warren Keller.
Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 with the Rev. Kyle Evans presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday @ Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
