Rosie Young

Rosie Lavhon Young, age 95, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009 at the Cohart Assisted Living Facility in Kit Carson, Colorado. Lavhon was born October 8, 1914 in Canton, Missouri, the daughter of Gus Gordon & Lillie May Murry Crow. She was a homemaker and had been a lifetime resident of Greeley County. Lavhon was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tribune, Kansas On March 31, 1932 she married Glen Young at Syracuse, Kansas. He passed away on December 2, 1984 at Tribune, Kansas. Lavhons survivors include- One daughters and her husband- Alberta & Larry Walter- Cheyenne Wells, Colorado A grandson and his wife Donald & Beverly Walter- Tribune, Kansas A granddaughter and her husband- Delta & Raymond Kern- Cheyenne Wells, Colorado A granddaughter-in-law Nita K. Walter- Cheyenne Wells, Colorado Ten great grandchildren and Three great great grandchildren Lavhon was preceded in death by a grandson, Dee Alan Walter and a granddaughter, Dixie Kampf. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. ( M.D.T.) Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at the First Baptist Church on Tribune, Kansas with the Reverend Mark Randolph officiating. Burial will be in Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas. Friends may call from Noon until service time, Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Tribune, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune, Kansas.
