Rosalie Olson

Garden City, Kansas Rosalie Marie Olson, age 62, died Saturday, November 7, 2009, at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born January 6, 1947 in Shaboon River, British Honduras the daughter of Fermine and Inez Awuan Carranza. A resident of Garden City since 1980 moving from Sacramento, California, she was a cosmetologist. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Garden City, Kansas. Survivors Include: Four Sons, Ben Olson of Garden City, Kansas, Paul (& Vicky) Olson of Garden City, Kansas, Tony Olson of Lawrence, Kansas and Norman (& Barbara) Olson of Garden City, Kansas; Three Daughters, Angie Scheve of Amarillo, Texas, Ann (& Tim) Burns of Topeka, Kansas and June (& Kent) Cartmill of Oceanside, California; Mother, Inez (& Ed) Toland of Garden City, Kansas; Two Brothers, Manuel Carranza of Cayo, Belize, Central America and Pete Pescacio of Gaden City, Kansas; Five Sisters, Mary (& Darvin) Jones of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dell Fergeson of Los Angeles, California, Maria McGregor of Garden City, Kansas, Diane Jones of Holcomb, Kansas and Rocki Malone of Dunlap, Iowa; Eighteen Grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Two Brothers, Jesus & David Carranza and One sister, Elena McGregor. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on, Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas with Pastor Richie Perez presiding. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date in Belize. The family requests memorials be given to the Leukemia Foundation in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
