Robert G. Rowley, age 88, died Friday, August 30, 2013 at the High Plains Retirement Village in Lakin, Kansas. He was born on January 13, 1925 in Barton County, Kansas, the son of Glen and Roberta "Bird" Murdy Rowley. A resident of Garden City since 1969 he worked in the oil field as a pumper and he also farmed.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Order of the Eastern Star and was a Past President and Trustee of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles of Garden City, Kansas.
On May 12, 1946 he married Darlene Phillips in Beaver, Kansas. She died September 6, 1999 in Wichita, Kansas.

Daughter-In-Law, Arlene Rowley of Holcomb, Kansas;
Eight Grandchildren, Richard Rowley of Ingolstadt, Germany,
Daena Brown of Gatesville, Texas,
Tye Zirkel of Holcomb, Kansas,
Hallie Mead of Grand Island, Nebraska,
Julie Nemecheck of Holcomb, Kansas,
Wayne Combs of Garden City, Kansas,
Shane Sells of Christiana, Tennessee and
Nikki Morgan of Long Beach, California;
And Fourteen Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, Robert Lynn Rowley and Three Brothers, Russell, Roland & Richard Rowley.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday September 4, 2013 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Friends may call from Noon-8pm on Tuesday @ the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will be held Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Eagles Lodge Scholarship Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
